Built in 1957, the building which now houses Hecker-Patron Funeral Home has served several capacities in the community, one of which was a nursing home. In 1975, Howard Hecker founded Hecker Funeral Home at this location, where he and his wife, Betty, ran the funeral home until Betty’s retirement. At that time, Howard and Betty’s daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Larry McClellan worked alongside Howard until his retirement. Cindy and Larry continued the family tradition until 2018 when it was sold and became Hecker-Patron Funeral Home.
