SUSAN L. (BAKER) MATULIS

Susan L. (Baker) Matulis, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 6, 2021, with her family by her side. Born August 4, 1958, in Bay Village, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Betty (Knapp) Baker. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Patricia Rockwood.

She is survived by her daughters, Lyndsay (Michael) Burns of Cuyahoga Falls, Jennifer Johnson (fiancé, Lenzie Staneart) of Dover, Sara Hammonds of Cuyahoga Falls, Cassandra (Albert) Radcliff of Stow; son, Toby (Debbie) Hammonds of Florida; 20 grandchildren; sisters, Christine Baker, Diane (Baker) Hillis, and Susan Knapp; brother, Larry Baker, nephew, Matt Rockwood; and niece, Kari Schlemmer Sutlovich.

Anyone who knew Susan, knew she was devoted to her family and each of them held a special place in her heart. She was an amazing friend and touched the lives of many. She was an extraordinary cook, and you could see it every day, in everything she prepared.  Devoted to Trinity United Church of Christ, Susan’s faith was her anchor that kept her grounded.

Visitation will be held at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 10:00 am until noon, with the service following at noon.  Reverend Carl Wallace will officiate. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmstead.
