NAOMI JEAN THOMPSON

Naomi Jean Thompson, 96, of Uniontown, Ohio, passed away peacefully, July 24, 2021.  She was born to the late Cloyd and Edith (Castner) Yeager, December 13, 1924, in Dexter, Missouri.

Loved ones preceding Naomi in death are her husband, George Thompson; son, Gary Thompson; daughter-in-law, Karen Thompson; and brother, Robert Yeager.

She spent her lifetime being a devoted and loving, wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving a beautiful legacy to those whose lives she touched.  She loved boating and camping with her family, gardening and flowers, and the joy that the beach and sun brought to her.

Naomi will be cherished always by those who survive; sons, Russell (Cindy) Thompson of Uniontown, Terry Thompson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren, Julie (Dan) Davis, Steve (Lesa) Thompson, Richard Thompson, Rusty (Mary) Thompson, Matt and Jake Thompson; great-grandchildren, Justin, Kayla, Lauren, Ryan, Derek, Katie, and Chelsea; and many other treasured relatives and friends.

Guests will be received, Friday, July 30, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, where the service, celebrating Naomi’s life, will immediately follow at 2:00 PM.  Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
