Obituary

MARY ELLEN HAMILTON

Mary Ellen Hamilton, 87, of Uniontown, passed away and will be reunited with God in Heaven and her loved ones.  She was born March 26, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, to the late Charles and Emma (Sandsberry) Molson.

Together with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, of 48 years, Jack Hamilton and brother, Robert Molson.

A 1951 graduate of Central High School, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree and graduated from the Akron School of Nursing in 1954.  She worked as a nurse at Akron City Hospital.  A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary loved her church, embraced God’s word wholeheartedly, and enjoyed bible study. 

Mary’s memory will forever be cherished by those who survive her; son, Jack “Neil” Hamilton II (Tiffany); granddaughters, Krystina (Zach) Little, Aroara Sayre; great-grandchildren, Adyn and Audriauna; nephew, Robert; nieces, Susan and Claudia; and her very special companion whom she loved dearly, her cat, Max.

The family will welcome guests, Monday, April 19, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:00 am, Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Road, Akron, where a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am.  Father Zachary Kawalec, presiding. Interment will take place privately.
