JOYCE M. DESHON
Joyce M. DeShon, 95, passed away at her home on June 16, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Walter and Dorothy (Newton) Bitecofer in Dover, Ohio, on July 3, 1926. She joins her husband, Jim; her sister, Dot (Larry); her brothers, Dwayne, Ed (Betty), and Jack (Joanne); brother-in-law Tony, and granddaughter Rachel who passed on before her.
Joyce is survived by her sister, Linda Cardarelli; daughter, Jill DeShon; son, Jeff (Heidi) DeShon; grandchildren, Jamie (Mike) Blair, Kellie (Erik) Heath, Sarah DeShon, Hannah (Tony) Pawlicki, Sam (Grace) DeShon; and great-grandchildren, Claudia and Ethan Blair, Henry and Willow Deshon, and Nik and Alex Pawlicki; and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce retired from National City Bank in Cuyahoga Falls. In her later years, she enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles, reading, watching General Hospital and Hallmark movies, and playing Euchre with friends. Keeping with her wishes, a private family service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joyce’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
