JAMES E. SWINEHART

James E. Swinehart, 81, of Mogadore, Ohio, passed away January 22, 2022. He was the loving husband of Linda (Cottrill) Swinehart for 36 years. Born December 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur and Virginia (Wade) Swinehart.

In addition to his loving wife, Linda, he is survived by his daughter, Teri (Rick) Oldham of Mogadore; sons, Steve (Jackie) Swinehart of Hartville, Mike (Denise) Swinehart of Wadsworth, and David Pursley of Mogadore; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene and Juanita; and brothers, Charlie and Bill. Preceding James in death were his brothers, Delbert and Gene Swinehart and sister, Cathy Swinehart.

James was retired from Goodyear Aero Space and served as an Army Reservist. He loved to play his guitar, sing, and write his own songs. He enjoyed playing baseball, watching football (especially his favorite team, Michigan), and loved his dogs. He embraced time spent with his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery, Uniontown.
