Glenda Louk

March 28, 1946 — September 3, 2021

Glenda "Nan/Nanny" Louk

Glenda “Nan/Nanny” Louk passed away peacefully September 3rd, 2021 and was joyfully welcomed into the arms of Jesus and a host of family and friends waiting to greet her. Born March 28,1946 in Elkins, West Virginia to the late Mary and Glenn Hedrick.

After meeting the love of her life, Ronald Louk, they moved to the Akron area to raise their family. She worked at the old Jordan’s Restaurant in Uniontown, Ohio for many years. She enjoyed, above all, spending time with family and cooking for the many friends and family throughout the years, that would stop by to visit. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her, and she would do anything to make them happy and see a smile on their faces.

Glenda was the beloved and adoring wife of the late Ronald for 51 years; the most amazing Mother to Mark (Alice), Greg (Kara), and Adam (Billie); the greatest Nan to Joshua (Sarah and great granddaughter Virginia, great grandson Maximus), Meghan (Kevin) Louk-Healy, Brittany, Kyle, and McKenna. She has also survived by her wonderful siblings, Terry (Judy) Hedrick, Judy (Steve) Sisler, Sue Clayton, Brenda (Noel) Shaffer-Brinker, sister-in-law Lona (Phil) Leary, and brother-in-law, Cameron (Yvonne deceased), and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

If ever there was a woman who loved her family and friends, it was Glenda Louk! Her GRANDKIDS AND GREAT GRANDKIDS WERE HER DAILY SOURCE OF SUNSHINE AND STRENGTH. She could talk about them for hours and hours.

Visitation Tuesday 7 September from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home in Uniontown, where funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Brenda Young officiating.
