VIRGINIA ARLENE HAIDET

Virginia Arlene “Ginny” Haidet, 81, of Uniontown, Ohio, passed away unexpectantly, August 20, 2021.  Born in Akron, Ohio July 1, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Sherwood and Pearl (Fisk) Haidet. Also preceding Ginny in death was her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Pete Madonia and nephew, Michael Madonia.

Touching the lives of her many students, they were blessed with the gift of learning guidance, discipline, and friendship, all from this one very dedicated and special teacher.  She was an extraordinary woman who was sincere, kind, and compassionate.

She easily knew the needs of others and went above and beyond to be there in a positive way. A member of Lakemore United Methodist Church, she was active in many areas of the church, as her faith played a significant role in her life. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Iota.

Ginny will be missed by those whose lives she touched and is survived by; brother, Bud (Beth) Haidet of Ft. Myers, Florida; nephew, Peter A. Madonia of Naples, Florida; nephews and nieces, Jeffery (Kathleen) Haidet, James (Polly) Haidet, Laura Romanazzi, Mark Haidet, and Drew (Hilary) Daivs; close personal friends, Tom and Julie Slater and family; and a host of very special friends and students whose lives she enriched.

A Memorial Service for Ginny will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10:00 am, Lakemore United Methodist Church, 1536 Flickinger Road, Akron, Ohio 44312.  Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
