SOPHIE IMHOFF

Sophie Imhoff, 90, of Uniontown, Ohio, entered into eternal rest, June 13, 2018.  She was born February 4, 1928 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Nicholas and Theodora Fegal.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant twins; sisters, Mary Demecs, Ann Mettle, Stella Sweitzer, Julia Shemwell, Pauline Wise; and brothers, Mike and John Fegal.

Sophie is survived by and leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children, Rebecca (Dan) Hershberger of Zoar, Ohio, Thomas (Jacquelyn) Imhoff of Uniontown, Ohio; and grandchildren, Christine and Jeannie.

A lady with a beautiful heart and soul, Sophie loved gardening, traveling, dancing the Polka, and was a life time member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved her cat, Kitty and shared a special bond with her. She enjoyed the peace and glorious greeting she felt each time she took in the beauty of the outdoors and the warmth of the sunshine.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, from 5 to 7 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, Ohio, as they gather together to share stories and memories of Sophie’s life.  In honoring Sophie’s wishes, there will be no service and interment will be private and take place at a later date.
