SHIRLEY (LEIB) JULIAN

Shirley (Leib) Julian, 90, passed away peacefully March 16, 2022, at home, with her family by her side. Shirley was the second child of the late Paul and Klytia Leib in Akron, Ohio, born on November 20, 1931.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, JT Julian; sons, Jerry and Gary (infant twins), and Dale; brothers, Jim Leib and Ken Leib; sisters, Pauline “Petie” Julian and Carol Starkey; and her granddaughter, Tanya Booker. She is survived by her brother, Glenn (Cheryl) Leib; sister-in-law, Sharon Leib; sons, Kelly (Julie) Julian and Dennis (Helene) Julian; daughter, Abby Julian; grandchildren, Chris (Rachel) Julian, Tony Julian, Sara Wills, Robby Tremble, Montay Booker; great-grandchildren, Paige, Ashley, Haylee, Jacob, Stephen, Savannah, Deejay, Kaleb, Hailey, and Nora; and great-great-grandchildren, Arietta, JJ, Raina and Gatlin.

Shirley was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church in Green, Ohio. She was retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

She always adopted everyone into the family, every family celebration and holiday included anyone who wanted to join the family fun. She had a fantastic, and sometimes stealthy sense of humor. She loved playing games, listening to gospel music, sharing stories and spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends, and family. Through her faith in the Lord, Mom was able to weather life’s storms over the years, but now she is at peace and will be forever in the loving hands of our Lord and Savior. Our hearts are broken, but we will go on with our lives, until our time comes, and we are all together again. Goodbye Mom, we miss you and we love you with all our hearts.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hospice of Cumberland County for the love and care they gave to mom and the support for the family. Also, sincere thanks to all family and friends for their support, love, prayers, and care for Mom.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd., Uniontown, Ohio, from 5pm - 7pm, with the service immediately following. Pastor Glenn Rogers, Jr. officiating. A Graveside Service and Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron, on Friday, March 25, 2022, 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s name to Hospice of Cumberland County, 30 E. Adams Street Crossville, TN 38555, or Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Uniontown, OH 44685.
