Shirley Green

SHIRLEY I. GREEN

Lifelong Portage Lakes resident, Shirley I. Green, passed away February 21, 2022 at Pebble Creek. She was 87. Born March 8, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Albert W. and Helen I. (Moyer) Rollins. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Dr. Douglas B Green.

Growing up, she attended Coventry schools. She enjoyed time spent in the kitchen with her husband preparing wonderful dishes for family and friends. She loved to travel and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and loved working with all of the wonderful families in her husband’s dental practice.

Her tenderheartedness will be cherished always by those who survive; daughters, Kathy (Craig) Lanik of Clinton, Kaye (Michael) Waugh of North Canton; grandchildren, Kevin Waugh, Kelly (Chris) Mossa, Tara (Jeremy) Szilagyi, John (Samantha) Szilagyi, Lacey (Josh) McMullen; great-grandchildren, Karlie and Michael Mossa, Ilianna and Salena Szilagyi, and Paisley McMullen; sisters, Debbie (Rick) Burns, Shelly (Marvin) Lillibridge; and brother, Jim (Kathy) Rollins.

In keeping with the wishes of Shirley, a private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
