 SHARON CAY MARPLE

 Sharon Cay Marple, 76, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, due to complications from covid and pneumonia. 

Catie was born on February 29, 1948. She married the love of her life, Glenn Marple on July 19, 1969. They lived their life together in the Akron and Uniontown area. She worked for Akron City Hospital for 19 years in the labor and delivery ward. Catie was a lifelong member of Eastern Star Ne-HTa Chapter #500.

Catie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn on November 21, 2021.

She is survived by brothers, Kenneth C. James (Teresa), Gibb James; sister, Cherie Persing (Chris); sister and brother in law, Dianna Lynn Carpenter (Dennis); nieces and nephews, Cynthia James Ross (Ward), Kenneth C. James (Brandy), Nora Miller, Christopher Howell (Ashley), William Howell (Kasey), Jesse Howell (Jessica), Michael Carpenter (Sara), Brady Carpenter (Ashley), Shelly Persing, Daniel Persing; many great nieces and great nephews; not to mention countless friends that were family to her (Dawn, Kelly, Tami, Julie).

The world was a better place because of her. Catie was a very strong woman who had the most giving heart. She always put others first and was there to help in any and every way possible.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pinnacle Rehab Facility in Tallmadge for all the care she received these last months.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. Interment will take place privately

Catie’s care was entrusted with Hecker-Patron Funeral Home and privileged in assisting the family during this tender time.
