RUTH I. KAPITY

Ruth I. Kapity, 97, went home to be with the Lord, January 7, 2019.  Born May 23, 1921 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she was a graduate of Eureka Springs High School and attended Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe Missouri.  Since her marriage to Daniel Kapity in July of 1948, she lived in Suffield and Uniontown, Ohio and later in life in Zion, Illinois.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel; parents, Wesley and Mabel (nee Kappen) Barker; sisters, Virginia Reddick and Francis Acor; brothers, Jack, Gray, Bill, and Gene Barker.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Daniel (Diana), Bill (Debora), and James (Michelle); grandsons, Jonathan (Jennifer), Daniel (Lisa), Michael (Elisha), James, Joel (Sachka), and Benjamin (Gretchen); granddaughter, Angela (Matthew); 14 great-grandchildren; many wonderful nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Meditation.
