Rose Mary Horton

a spirit that will continue to inspire many generations.

Rose Mary Horton, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully at the age of 101, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and a century of beautiful memories. For 101 years, she graced this world with her profound love and a spirit that will continue to inspire many generations.

A gifted beautician, she spent many years bringing joy and confidence to others while working at O’Neil’s department store. Outside of work, she found peace and fulfillment in her favorite hobbies, spending countless hours playing board games (and always winning), mastering puzzles, baking pies, watching game shows, and crocheting beautiful keepsakes for those she loved. She also possessed a delightfully sweet routine; every day she enjoyed a Dr Pepper, a piece of Hershey bar, and a bowl of ice cream. Her life was anchored by her deep devotion to God. Her faith guided her actions and served as a beacon of love for her entire family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Horton; daughters, Ann Slatten and Debi Luczyk; sister, Faye Miller; and brothers, John and Frank McPeak.

Her enduring love lives on through her family. She is survived by her devoted grandchildren: Matt Slatten (Sandee), Corrina Benedum (Scott), Amber Singer (Clay), Ian Luczyk (Danielle), and Nick Luczyk. Her legacy also shines brightly through her cherished great-grandchildren: Taylor (Brian), Mackenzee (Brandon), Matthew, Maddalynn, Jacob (Mackenzie), Stephen (Katie), Angel, Ava, Ethan, Weslee, Natalia, Karina, and Landon. She was especially blessed to witness five generations of her family and took great joy in meeting her great-great-grandchildren, Eli, Elouise, Lainey, and Vera. She was immensely proud of the family and legacy she leaves behind.

her life was anchored by her deep devotion to God.
