Rev. Harley D. Langley Sr.

Rev. Harley D. Langley Sr., 91, went home to be with his Lord on June 7, 2017. Born January 25, 1926 in St. Paul, Arkansas, to General Cleve and Daisey Williams Langley, he was a WWII Navy veteran. Brother Langley worked in quality control for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft/Boeing Aircraft, retiring with 25 years of service.

Brother Langley, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, spent his life serving the Lord. He worked as assistant pastor for churches in Wichita Kansas and St. Louis Missouri and later as lead pastor in Oswego Illinois, Phoenix Arizona, Moline Illinois and in Dawson Springs Kentucky, where he served until his retirement. After retiring, Brother Langley joined his children in the Uniontown, Ohio area where he was a member of Gospel Assembly Church.

Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jean; he is survived by his loving family; children, Linda, Don (Doreen), and Tom Langley, Sharon (Walter) Scheks; grandchildren, Joshua (Jamie) Langley, Michael (Jessica) and Lauren Scheks; great grandchildren, Natalie Rose and Matthew Harley; sister Margaret Piper; and many other dear relatives, church family and friends.

Visitation Friday 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 6 to 7 p.m. at Gospel Assembly Church, where funeral services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with Brother Rick Moore and Brother Clyde Sharber officiating.    At  Yarber Mortuary In Mountain View, Missouri there will be a service on Saturday June 17, at 1 p.m. with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service. Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gospel Assembly Church, 2535 Wise Rd., North Canton, Ohio  44720 or Heartland Hospice, 4807 Rockside Rd., Ste. 110, Independence, Oh 44131.
