Muriel J. Harris

Muriel J. Harris, 84, of Greentown, entered into the loving arms of Jesus on March 28, 2017. Born in Cuyahoga Falls on November 21, 1932, she is the last to survive of 8 children born to Elias and Esther (Smith) Rogers. Muriel worked as a RN for 18 years at Akron City Hospital and later at Hillhaven Convalescent Center, where she retired with 17 years of service. Muriel loved life. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family taking vacations to Myrtle Beach and Ireland, and her Thursday and Friday nights playing Bingo at the Greentown Athletic Club. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Muriel is survived by her loving family, husband of 63 years Vince; children, Theresa and Vince (Cindy) Harris; grandchildren, Brian (Manju) Jackson, Vince (Gen) Harris, Nicole (Tom) O'Keefe, Justin (Katrina) Tripp and Sarah Tripp; great grandchildren Katie McCallister, Wesley O'Keefe, Mason, Nash and River Shannon Harris; brothers and sisters-in-law, Louise Rogers, Doris Maiert, Martha Long, Margaret Holt, Frank, Joe and Jackie Harris. Visitation Friday 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. at Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Uniontown with Fr.
