Mark L. Bonko May 15, 1951 – September 26, 2026 Mark L. Bonko, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on September 26th, 2026 Mark, survived by his wife Carol, was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Leonard and Sarah (nee Chervenak) Bonko but he called the Akron-area his home. Brother to Robert and Michael (Maggie) Bonko. Father to loving children Laura and Stephen along with step-children Diana (Shannon) Keith, Dr. Michael (Eric) Flatt, and Eric (Kim) Flatt. Mark attended the University of Akron and was a tire designer with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 44 years. Mark loved Ohio history with a particular passion for Ohio's past and present canal system which he researched extensively. Per his wishes there will be no services
