Marilyn Clounie

Marilyn Clounie, age 92, of Hartville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2025.

She is preceded in her death by her husband of 64 years, Bruce G. Clounie; her parents, Harry and Mary McKee; and her siblings, Eleanor Rankin and Harry McKee.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Bruce D (Susan) of Raleigh, NC; Tom (Lori) of Huntington, IN, Mark (Sheryl) of Sparta, NC, and David (Nikki) of Uniontown, OH; grandchildren Lauren A., Bruce W (Kiersten), Michael (Lauren), TJ (Amy), Josh (Maddy), Anna, Kelsey, Kaitlin, Brendan Clounie; and great-grandchildren Leo, Adeline, and Penny.

Marilyn grew up in Cleveland and enjoyed working at Hough Bakery and GE during those early working years before tirelessly raising her four boys. She and her husband focused on bringing children to the Lord through their work with the Sunday School at Fairlawn Bible Chapel, The Chapel in Akron, and the AWANA program for much of their lives together. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and other needlework, but her greatest joys were the Lord and her family.

The visiting hour will be on Tuesday, September 23rd at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home in Uniontown at 10:30 AM followed by the funeral at 11:30 AM. Internment is immediately following at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Modern Day Missions (Torres Jovien, Jhonatan) or Samaritans Purse.
