MARGARET JEAN NOWAK

Margaret Jean Nowak, passed away peacefully, January 25, 2022, with her family by her side. Born January 19, 1927 in Island, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William and Katheryn Kosperski.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Nowak; sister, Elizabeth Blazovich; and brother, George Kosperski.

Margaret’s memory will be cherished always, by those who survive; son, Paul (Bernadette) Nowak; daughters, Marlene (Jimmy) Gurganus, Kathleen (Gary) Schroeder; 18 grandchildren; sister, Julia Shirley; and brother, Larry Barkley.

An Akron-Stow resident most of her life, Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  Devoted to her Catholic faith and teachings, she was a member of Nativity of The Lord Jesus Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, with the funeral service immediately following.  Father Zachary Kawalec will preside. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
