LOWELL E. MARTIN

Lowell E. Martin, 90, of Akron, Ohio, passed away August 31, 2021.  Born November 24, 1930 in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Eugene and Dorothy Martin. Also preceding Lowell in death was his first wife of 59 years, Dorothy Martin; sons, Lowell “Butch” (Sandy) Martin and John Martin; sister, Virginia Brubaker; and brothers, James and Bob Martin.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Arlena Martin of Akron; sons, Paul (Sharon) Martin, Bruce (Michelle) Martin all of Akron; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Ann (Cliff) Whited; brothers, Leroy (Marge) Martin, and Lloyd Martin

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Lowell was a member Springfield Fellowship Church.  He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 31 years, was a member of Rolling Acres CMA, and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was the owner/operator of Mogadore Auto Wrecking for 40 years.  He was the recipient of the Eagle Scout Paul W. Litchfield Prestigious Award

Guests will be received Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of service, beginning at 1:00 PM, Springfield Fellowship Church, 830 Ewart Road, Akron. Pastor John Burton, Jr. will be officiating.  Interment for the family will take place at a later date, Hillside Memorial Park.
