Lorene O. Cain

Lorene O. Cain, of Mogadore, Ohio, passed away December 16, 2025. Reaching the milestone age of 101, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength, having been preceded in death by many loved ones who now welcome her home; her parents, James and Bertha Mort, husband, Olan Cain, stepchildren, Deanna Crites, James Cain; sisters, Wilda Sacratini, Ardath Wright, and Ethel Bloom; brothers, Jim, Chester, and Bud Mort.

She was a stay-at-home wife and mother and savored every minute of those years, giving of herself unselfishly and lovingly, ensuring all her family’s needs were met. Although she saw and experienced many changes in managing a household, her heart never grew tired of being a housewife and the steady hum of a home that felt alive because of her touch.

Her 101 years were a testament to endurance and joy, and her spirit continues to inspire those who remain; daughter, Sue (Steve) Whitaker; son, Sherman (Diane) Cain; multiple grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
