KATHERINE J. ROGERS

Katherine J. Rogers, passed from this life into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, December 18, 2020 at the age of 84. She was born May 4, 1936 in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late Chester and Onie Puckett Strouth.

She now joins her beloved husband, Glenn Rogers, Sr., who preceded her in death and her sister, Virginia Price.

Katherine leaves a trail of beautiful memories to those who survive; daughters, Peggy (Ron) Somosko, Cathy Henry all of Green, Kimberly (Tom) Neptune of Akron; son, Glenn (Audrey) Rogers of Green; grandchildren, Sean, Amy, Jeff, Aaron, Ryan, David, Nathan, Isaac, Tommy, and Karleigh; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Daugherty of Green and Brenda Kime of Canton.

Very devoted to her family, Katherine asked for so little, but gave so much. A giving person by nature, Katherine’s heart was always open, giving cheerfully. A hard working and supportive person through all her life journeys, the one most glorifying was her Christian journey, leading her to beautiful destinations. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Temple Baptist Church in Green, 1212 Greensburg Road, Green, Ohio 44232, where funeral services will be held, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10:00 am. Katherine’s son, Pastor Glenn Rogers, will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will follow the directives set, by wearing masks or facial coverings and maintain social distancing guidelines.

The family extends a very gracious and heartwarming thank you to the Temple Baptist Church Family for their prayers, love, and continual support shared with Katherine and the entire Rogers family.
