KARL KONIGSBERGER

Karl Konigsberger, 73, of Mogadore, Ohio, passed away on May 6, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Karl was born on October 26, 1949, to the late Karl J. and Anna Virginia “Ginny” (Osmunden) Konigsberger.

He graduated from Kent State in 1972 and worked many years on the railroad before becoming a middle school Art Teacher. He retired from Akron Public Schools. Karl was an Eagle Scout who loved being outdoors, playing the guitar, listening to records, playing ping pong, and helping anyone and everyone.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah Leland Konigsberger; his sister, Kristine (Mark) Gilson; son, Aubrey (Amy) Konigsberger; and 3 grandsons, Corey (Jean), Cody (Shannon), and Christian; and a host of family and friends.

 Karl was a very loving and proud “PaPaw.” He was a friend, mentor, and hero to his son and grandsons. Karl was an active member of Kent Church of Christ and demonstrated his Christian values in his daily life. He loved to discuss scripture and had a true servant’s heart.
