JOHN H. ERSLAN

John H. Erslan, 84, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. He was born March 6, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, to the late John P. and Catherine M. (Coffman) Erslan.

John graduated from Springfield High School and Oklahoma Farrier’s College. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and worked in construction most of his life. He was a kind, quiet man, generous to a fault. He enjoyed a good western, but his greatest passion was hunting big game in Wyoming.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Deborah. John is survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Honoring John’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service, with Military Honors, will be conducted at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Joel Cochran will officiate.
