JOE H. MARR, SR.

Joe H. Marr, Sr. passed away July 2, 2023. He was 75. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was born in Fayetteville, Tennessee on August 21, 1947, to Henry and Charlotte (Cox) Marr, who preceded him in death. Joe’s brothers, Lee, Elden, and Steve Marr and son, Philip Huber also preceded Joe in death.

A word, a smile, a song brings back precious memories to those who survive; wife, Michelle Marr; sons, Aaron and Bryan Huber; grandchildren, Erin, Elayn, Malcolm, Brieanna; great-grandchildren, Kai and Summer; brother, Tom Marr;

many loving in-laws; cousins, nephews, and nieces; his longtime friends, Rick and Bonnie Dzurovcin and Chick and Nancy Geier, and his dog, Nellie, who will all miss him dearly.

Joe enjoyed playing the drums and loved every kind of music, especially Rock and Roll. He loved cruising, traveling, and snorkeling on vacations in the Caribbean, as well as visiting zoos and collecting Hard Rock pins and drumsticks in over 50 cities. He and Michelle loved hiking all year round. They hiked all the Summit Metro Parks for 25 years, as well as CVNP, Hocking Hills, and many other parks and trails.

A gathering of family and friends will take place, Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. Interment will take place July 14, 2023 at 9:45 am, Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville.
