Jerry was a man deeply devoted to his family and unwavering in his faith.
Jerry Lee Whytsell, 81, of North Canton, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of September 28, 2026, at The Gables of Green. Born on September 28, 1945, in Sutton, West Virginia, Jerry was the son of the late Gene and Anna (Hartman) Whytsell.
Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Springfield High School and devoted 44 years of his life to his work as a meat cutter. He was a man deeply devoted to his family and unwavering in his faith. A faithful member of Temple Baptist Church, Jerry served his church family as a deacon and lived his life guided by Christian values. Jerry shared a marriage centered on God's love with his beloved wife, Willaburt “Billie” Whytsell.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Whytsell; son, Terry Whytsell; daughter, Cheryl Whytsell; and sister, Judy Wilt. He is survived by his son, Tim (Sandy) Whytsell of Uniontown; daughter, Christine (Seth) Davis of Florida; grandchildren, James, Faith, and Mark Whytsell, and McKenzie and Kennedy Davis; great-grandchildren, Waylon and Weston; sister, Paula Harrington of North Carolina; and brothers, Larry Whytsell of Florida and Fred Whytsell of Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind many extended family members, church friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Uniontown, Ohio, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Rogers, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
He shared a marriage centered on God's love with his beloved wife, Willaburt “Billie” Whytsell.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Jerry has been reunited with Billie and those who went before him, and that his legacy of faith and devotion will continue to live on through the generations he so dearly loved.
