Jene Jackson

Jene Jackson passed away peacefully at home on his 65th birthday, September 2, 2025, after a long battle with COPD.

He is preceded in death by parents, Nada and Garland Jackson; sisters, Janice Jackson and Judy Conley; and brother, John Jackson. Survived by brother, James Jackson and sister, Joyce Schraeder. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Deborah Jackson; his children, Kristina Balint (Joe), Samantha Jackson (Don), and Nickolas Jackson; and his cherished grandchildren, Dakota, Joseph, Clay, and Olive, along with Baby Jett, who is expected to arrive later this month.

Jene was a master of motors who found great joy in tinkering in the garage. His passion became his career as a dedicated mechanic for the United States Postal Service. Short and stout with a big, bold attitude, Jene was a prankster at heart who lived to get the last laugh. His infectious laughter and playful spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. His children and grandchildren will forever treasure the memories of wrestling matches, jokes, and the joy of simply being with Dad and Pepaw.

In lieu of flowers, contributions toward Jene’s burial expenses may be made to the GoFundMe established by his son, Nick Jackson, at https://gofund.me/8a9b7ad5.

Arrangements were entrusted with Lamiell Funeral Home.
