Jean M. Shelly
Jean M. Shelly, 92, went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2018. Born on September 24, 1925 in Warren, Ohio, to William and Marie (Smith) Fischer, she was a Greentown area resident most of her life, graduating from Greentown H.S.. Jean, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, worked until their closing, as head librarian at the Greentown Public Library for over 39 years, and as the weekend hostess at Chicken Manor for over 40 years. She was a member of Greentown United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband Richard and daughter Sandra, she is survived by her loving family; sons Mike (Pam) Shelly of Greentown and Robert P. (Lisa) Shelly of Coral Springs, Fla.; grandchildren, Ethan, Elliot, Martin, Matthew, Mark (Amy), Andrea (Mat), Victoria, Richard (Rozeli) and several great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Private family services.
