Janice M. Conley

Janice M. Conley, age 88, of North Canton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great‑grandmother, she built her life around caring for others. She was born in Greensburg, Ohio on August 27, 1937, and spent her entire life as a proud and devoted resident of North Canton

For many years, she worked for the North Canton Schools (Greentown), where she greeted students with kindness, patience, and a smile that made even the busiest school days feel a little brighter. Her gentle presence and steady work ethic left a lasting impression on generations of children and staff.

Family was the center of her world. She found joy in gatherings filled with laughter, stories, and the simple comfort of being together. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled—kindness, humility, and love without condition. Her life was defined not by grand gestures but by everyday acts of care that shaped the people around her.

She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply and will forever carry her love forward; her husband, Joe, of 69 years, with whom she built a partnership on devotion, steadiness, and a lifetime of shared memories. Together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and the kind of everyday moments that become their family’s foundation; children, Judy (Earl) Forgham, Janet Paxton (Tammy Wilkes), and Julie (Matt) Kocher; grandchildren, Michael (Alecia), Melissa (Leif), Taylor (Roger), Katie (David), Meghan, and Troy; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Weston, Layla, Carson, Wyatt, and Madilyn; and nephews, Ed and David Conley. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Arno and Elsie (VanSickle) Climes; brother, Harold Climes; and sister, Dolores Conley.
