JAMES LEE WALDER, JR.

James Lee Walder, Jr., 39, of Canton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2023, while attending a motorcycle rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Canton, Ohio on April 6, 1984 to Debra Perrin and the late James Lee Walder. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Louis Perrin and paternal grandparents, Richard and Mary Walder.

Heartbroken by James’ sudden passing are those who survive; mother, Debra Perrin (John Krinjeck, Fiancée); brother, Dustin (Jill) Walder; grandmother, Shirley Perrin; niece, Maria Walder; nephew, Tyler Walder; aunt and uncle, Christine and David Whitmire; cousins, Christopher (Tricia) Finan and David Whitmire; friends; and his special motorcycle brothers. He will be missed by his beloved cats, Notte, Cleo, and Keira.

James was a 2003 graduate of Lake High School and proudly served in the United States Army during the conflict in Iraq. James was a member of the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association (CVMA). He was working on his Fine arts Degree at Kent State and glass blowing was his favorite pastime.

James’ passions were kayaking, camping, and hiking with lifelong friends, Joe Deering, Brent Combest, Adam Voight, and others. His love of the outdoors started when he and his brother, Dustin, grew up hunting, fishing, and camping with Grandpa Perrin and also traveling with their grandpa and grandma.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Ave., NW in Uniontown. The service for James will follow immediately after. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Akron.
