HARREL GENE BROOKS

Mr. Harrel Gene Brooks, age 95, of Uniontown, Ohio, passed peacefully on May 7, 2024, at his home. Born to Ransom and Edith Brooks on September 8, 1928, he was raised in North Carolina before relocating to Akron in the early 50s, where he worked at Goodyear until his retirement in 1985. Widow to Mildred Brooks, he was preceded in death by two sons, Duane and David Brooks along with his daughter, Judith Moore and grandson, Shane Moore.
 
 Avid golfer, gardener, and longtime member of the masonic lodge, he will be greatly missed by family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
 
 Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25th at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home in Uniontown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio's Hospice Foundation.
