FREDERICK C. MOREHEAD

Frederick C. Morehead, 85, of Akron, Ohio, passed away at Green Village on January 1, 2020. Born March 16, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, he was one of five children of the late Frederick and Zona Fox Morehead. His siblings, Irene Lawver, Margey Cuffman, Mildred Taylor, and Harry Morehead, also preceded him in death.

Cherishing the beautiful memories made over the years are those who survive; his wife of 34 years, Florence Churchill Morehead; daughters, Linda (Jim) Guyas, Brenda Gates, Sandy (Dave) Cole, and Crystal Bisel (Michael Whitmer); sons, Ralph Ramos, Kenneth (Tammy) Morehead, Gerald (Maria) Altizer; grandsons, Chad Ramos (Stacey), Paul Guyas (Martha), Jason Cunningham (Jill), Aaron Cunningham (Tonya), Gerald Altizer III (Kristie), Andrew Altizer (Ashley), Alex Cole, and Tanner Morehead; granddaughters, Tara Gentry (Jamey), Melissa Lutz, Jennifer Gartner, Stephanie Lamp (Jimmy), Brandy Bisel; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Frederick had a passion for working and was knowledgeable in many areas, as he took great pride in working hard and being humble about his successes. He had a zest and enthusiasm for life and being adventurous, as he enjoyed sky diving, rock climbing, surfing, and zip lining. He also enjoyed taking cruises. He was very devoted to his family and the bond they all shared was immeasurable and the greatest gift they gave to one another.

Family and friends will be welcomed for visitation, Monday, January 6, 2020 from 11:00 am until the time of service, beginning at 1:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown. Officiating will be Frederick’s son, Reverend Gerald Altizer. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Uniontown.
