Etta M. Harris, 96 passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, and is now with God, experiencing the fulness of His love and glory.
She was born March 4, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to her late parents, Leonard and Hilda (Moehr) Closson. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Teeter; sisters, Beatrice Closson, Joyce Closson, and Dolores Gordan,
Etta was dedicated to her family and will always be remembered for being a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her warm heart and kind soul touched the lives of many, as well as everyone at Altercare of Hartville., where she resided. She was a long time member of Trinity Nazarene Church and loved to paint, play cards, and enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Teeter; sons, James (Bonnie) Harris, II and Jeff Harris; grandchildren, James, Adam, Jimmy (Katie), and Heidi (Jon); great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Poppy, Quinn, Mackenzie, Abigail. Her unwavering faith left a lasting imprint on her family and those who were fortunate to have known her.
Visitation for Etta will be Friday, July 25, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, Uniontown. The service will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Harold Bradley officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
