ELWOOD LEE BOLYARD
Elwood Lee Bolyard, 85 years of age, passed away peacefully, at Truman House on September 24, 2023., surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 17, 1938, in Fellowsville, West Virginia to parents, Russell Bolyard and Grace (Wolfe) Knotts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Bolyard; mother and stepfather, Grace and Elmer Knotts; brothers, Harold, Ronald, and Lonnie; sisters, Beatrice, Mary, and Irene.
Elwood is survived and missed by his wife of 60 years, Louise; sons, Donald, Greg (Tina); daughter, Kathi; three grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; sister, Nancy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved basketball, rides on country roads, and beautiful smiles. He enjoyed games and winning them. He worked at Mogadore Chemical for 39 years and proudly served in the United States Navy. He gave unselfishly of himself to his family.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation, Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Uniontown, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 11:00 am. Reverend Billy Roe will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, North Canton.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, Florida 33131 or at www.parkinsons.org.
