Dr. Timothy Ray King 11-09-62 – 11-23-25 went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, the Lord’s Day. He was welcomed by his daughter Kaleigh Rae King. He is healed, whole and himself again after battling cancer for a little over 2 years.
He dedicated his life to the Lord first and foremost and served as a PhD Clinical Counselor helping people with their hurts. He most recently served in the Stark County School System when he wasn’t at his private practice office. He gravitated toward adolescents without a father as this was personal to him. He was actively involved in several men’s Bible Studies, namely Iron2Iron, hosted Home Groups through New Pointe Community Church and served through East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus. He authored 2 books titled: Little Professors - Life Lessons Learned from Children as well as Hope and Healing for the Major Surgical Soul and he loved speaking around the country. This was truly his strike zone. He was passionate on the subject of Identity, Marriage and Family, Raising Adolescents and Relationships -both personal and business. He was a consultant in the school systems and businesses to name a few.
His goal was to constantly and consistently pour truth into his grandkids. He loved spending time with them and his goal was to make them happy. He loved the outdoors hunting and fishing and sharing this joy with his family. He loved hosting Thanksgiving and Easter at our home. The last 5 years he founded the Kaleigh Rae Foundation and hosted the Kaleigh Rae Night of Praise to help those hurting from their losses.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Gerald R. King and Mary F. Minor and James H. Minor and his 19-year-old daughter Kaleigh Rae King (08-17-2020) and sister Marsha L. Meyers (1985). He is survived by his best friend and wife of 38 years Stacy L. King. Son Kyler T. and Kourtney King and grandchildren Rylan R., Charlie J., and Bryson M. Daughter McKala M. and Stephen Jackson and grandson Shepherd S. and baby boy Jackson (March 2026).
The Homegoing Celebration of Life will be Monday December 1st, 2025 at New Pointe Community Church 5305 Broadmoor Circle NW Canton OH 44709 at 2-6 pm with service starting promptly at 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kaleigh Rae Foundation using the Venmo link provided at https://venmo.com/code?user_id=4470196794295974933
We are forever grateful for the outpouring of gift cards, cards, meals, prayers, presence, love, support and stories of how he has impacted your lives. Please share these stories on Stacy’s FB page as opposed to calling hours due to the amount of people and time. We are honored by your PRESENCE.
Tim would say to you: Simply LOVE GOD and LOVE PEOPLE. His life verse Psalm 46.10.
