Buster Ray Terry of Uniontown, Ohio passed away the morning of December 14, 2025. He was 78 years old. Born in Andersonville, Tennessee, on August 6, 1947, he was one of five children born to Avon and Dorothy (Ridenour) Terry, who have preceded him in death. Together with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Lewis.
Simple pleasures in life are often overlooked moments, but not for Buster. He was all about his family, open, honest, and pleasing to be around. He loved his wife, who was also his best friend and they were married for 59 years. He was an exceptional dad who understood compromise and unconditional love. Surrounded by five beautiful granddaughters and three wonderful great-grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa, their bond was filled with love, laughter, and many cherished memories. Buster proudly served his country in the Marine Corps and even though his active duty has ended, he still carries the honor with him. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed fishing.
Buster’s absence leaves a void that can never be filled and will be deeply missed. His memory will be cherished always by those who survive; his wife, Patti; daughter, Cindy (Michael) Allshouse; son, Bobby Terry; granddaughters, Holly (Chris) Enos, McKenzie (Nathan) Kappel, and Jessicca, Jennah, and Juliana Terry; great-grandchildren, Daxton, Lucy, and Rosalie; sister, Becky (Dick) Cutcher; and brothers, Danny (Jenny) Terry and George Terry.
Cremation has taken place. Calling hours for Buster will be Saturday, January 10 from 11-12 at Faith Family Church, North Canton (please park by door B) with services to begin at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests Memorial Contributions may be made to Faith Family Church, N. Canton; the VA Regional Office, Cleveland; or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tennessee.
