Barbara Turner Jones

Barbara (Turner) Jones, age 92, of Hartville, Ohio passed away Friday, January 16, 2026. She was born on June 21, 1933, in Moline, Illinois to Margaret and Harrison Turner. She graduated from the University of Illinois and worked as a registered dietitian for several years before becoming a full-time homemaker.

Barbara volunteered with her church, Meals on Wheels, and as a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed bird watching, hiking, and traveling all over the world. With her many contributions, her greatest gift was her love for her family and friends. Her sweet smile and her cheerfulness was appreciated by all who met her. Her daughters loved and prayed for her, and she told them numerous times that her life had been blessed.

Barbara was married on August 4, 1956, to Howard R Jones. They were married for 59 years until he passed away in 2015. She is survived by 3 daughters, Catherine (Ed) Vinson of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Diana Ellyson of Fayetteville, Georgia, Linda Jones of Akron, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her sister, Constance Walker; her brother, Harrison Turner; and son-in-law, Charles Ellyson.
