BETTY (BECKY) BATTLE

Betty (Becky) L. Battle, 77, Uniontown OH, loving wife, mother, and grandmother went home to her Lord on February 27. Born in Richmond, VA, Sept. 21, 1943. Becky was a proud Green High alumnae and resident of Green for most of her life.

Becky was a member of the Ellet Mother Singers for over 20 years and was a devout member of Clearview United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and served on multiple committees. Her kind and loving nature along with her beautiful smile will be dearly missed.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Ethel Andrick and sister Janet (Andrick) Dye. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Mike Battle; children, Denny Norman, Julie (Mark) Lyberger, Michael Battle, and Nicole (Dan) Powers; brothers, Johnnie (Billie), Lyn (Carol), and William (Dianne) Andrick; and sister, Carol Friedman.

Becky’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Stephanie Silla (Aaron), Andrew Norman (Jessica), Justin Lyberger, Jenna Lyberger, and Delanee Battle; great-grandchildren, Kyndra, Christina, and Emily; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 4 from 5-8PM at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home in Uniontown, where a family funeral service will be held March 5 at 11AM with Rev. Jerry Penrod, Jr. officiating. Internment at Hillside Memorial Park.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude for the support provided by Crossroads Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Clearview United Methodist Church,1733 Massillon Rd, Akron, 44312.
