BETTY SWEITZER

Betty Sweitzer, 94, was received into the arms of our heavenly Father on Friday, January 12, 2024. She was born on August 21,1929 to the late Linden and Elina Loutzenheiser. Betty lived most of her life in Uniontown, Ohio and was a 1948 graduate of Uniontown High School. She was a bank teller for many years and an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, and playing cards. Betty was an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

She was preceded in death by husband, Dale; sisters, Dorothy Treadway, Virginia Snively and Margaret Metheney Parks; brothers, Earl and Leslie Loutzenheiser; and son-in-law, Terry Lyons.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cindy Lyons, Cathy (John) Prehodick, Candy Collins, Christi (Jeff) Perretta; grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Cain, John Prehodick, Nicholas Cain, Ashley (Michael) Dyer, Jesse Prehodick, Daniel Perretta, Kim (Chris) Roberts, Kelly Prehodick, Halle Perretta; great-grandchildren, Alissa Cain and Naomi Cain; brother, Harry (Luella) Loutzenheiser; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Watson and Carol Case; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12 noon, at Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, 13151 Cleveland Avenue, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. A Memorial Service will follow immediately at 12 noon.  There will be no Graveside Service.
