Betty L. Bitecofer, 91, passed on September 15, 2017. Born in Akron on September 23, 1925 to George and Ida (Moody) Bloxham, she was an area resident all of her life. After graduating from East High School, Betty became an executive secretary, retiring from Roadway Express after many years of service. First and foremost Betty loved spending time with her family, but to round off her list of favorite things, we would be amiss to not include shopping, dining out and Gigi.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years Edward, and sister Shirley May. She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, who will miss her dearly, Susan Green (Edward Steinmetz). She also leaves sisters-in-law Joyce DeShon and Linda Cardarelli, brother-in-law Jerry May, nieces, nephews and friends.
Private burial was held at Woods Cemetery in Uniontown. For those wishing, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the American Heart Association. Hecker 330 699-2600.
