Betty Baughman, age 96, of Akron, Ohio, died peacefully June 27, 2026, in Hartville, Ohio, where she has lived since 2021.

Betty was born August 21, 1929 in Akron, Ohio. She was one of 11 children to Elmer and Pearl Kenepp. She was a graduate of Ellet High School. She met and married David Baughman, June 25, 1950, and was married until David’s death, September 3, 2020.

She spent her life in service to her family, community, and church, using her artistic and musical talents. She held many positions in her church and did every job with dedication and humility.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, David Baughman and youngest son, John Baughman. She is survived by daughters, Tamia Watkins, Lori Turner; son, David Baughman, Jr.; sisters, Alice Johnson, Barbara Higgins; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at a date yet to be determined, when family and friends may gather in thanksgiving for her life.

Arrangements are under the care of Hecker‑Patron Funeral Home in Uniontown.
