Bertha Underwood

BERTHA G. UNDERWOOD

After gracing this world with her unwavering faith, Bertha G. Underwood went to her eternal home, December 9, 2020.  She was born to the late William Muffley and Jessie Smith Muffley on July 19, 1924 in Akron, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Suchy; second husband, Vincent Underwood; sisters, Jessie Muffley, Ruth Webb; brothers, William, George “Harry”, and Joe Muffley.

Cherishing Bertha’s memory always are those who survive; daughter, Faith (Robert) Stottlemyer of Uniontown; son, Howard (Jackie) Suchy of Akron; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A member of Harvestime Apostolic Temple, Bertha believed in God’s grace and loved attending church, enjoyed shopping, and eating out.

Visitation for Bertha will take place on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 10:00 am until noon, Harvestime Apostolic Temple, 136 E. Maple Street, Hartville.  The service will follow at the church at noon, with Pastor Raymond Smith officiating.  Interment will be at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Harvestime Apostolic Temple.

Hecker-Patron Funeral Home has been given the privilege of serving the family during this delicate time and was entrusted with Bertha’s care.
