Arline Dawson
August 8, 1921 — December 17, 2017
Arline M. Dawson (nee Witsaman), 96, a life long resident of Green, went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2017 after a long illness. Born in Canton on August 8, 1921 to Wilbur and Anna (Yenny) Witsaman, she was a 1941 graduate of Green H.S. Arline, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, was a lifetime member of Greentown United Methodist Church and a volunteer for the Greentown Park board rummage sales. She could bake, quilt, crochet and grow anything.
Arline was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Glenn, daughter Anna (Eugene) Harsh, brothers Carl and Glenn Witsaman and sister Dawn Kungle. She is survived by her loving family; daughters, Glena (George) Hurford of Cuyahoga Falls, Brenda (David) Wolfe of Greentown and Laurie (Hayward) Thomas of Pennsboro, WV; one brother, Roy Witsaman of Green, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
She was a great mom and spectacular role model to everyone. We love you and will miss you mom and grandma!!
Visitation Thursday 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hecker Funeral Home in Uniontown, where funeral services will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m. with Chaplain Matt Doerle officiating.
